IN THIS TOGETHER

In these unprecedented times, the health and safety of our people, workers and broader community is our priority.

With this in mind, Hurst is working hard to safely keep the construction industry open. As part of our business continuity framework, we have developed a specific COVID-19 pandemic plan.

This plan includes systems to manage COVID-19 risks in all our workplaces, be it on-site or in-office.

Hurst is committed to working hard to safely keep the construction industry open. That's why we are joining our clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors in working safely. To keep our industry running, we must be in this together.

HURST HAS ESTABLISHED SEVERAL WORKPLACE MEASURES TO MINIMISE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 INCLUDING:

We are advising workers to stay home if they feel ill, or have symptoms.

We are directing all new workers and visitors to complete a self declaration and advise us if they are experiencing symptoms, or have been exposed to a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or someone who is suspected to have COVID-19.

We are reminding workers about social distancing guidelines and COVID-19 safety measures through on-site notices, inductions, pre-start meetings and toolbox meetings.

We are staggering break times to abide by social distancing requirements and to also limit the number of workers congregating in one area.

We have provided our workforce with the resources they need to conduct meetings remotely, where possible.

We are encouraging breaks and workforce briefings to be held in large outdoor spaces where possible.

We have provisions for hand washing and encourage all workers to frequently wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
