The Project
Nestled underneath the iconic Bridge Room in Sydney’s CBD, this location needed an equally iconic restaurant in order to maximise the opportunity.
Enter Tokonoma.
Specialising in Izakaya dining, the brief for the fitout was simple: mix designer fittings and fixtures to create a sophisticated dining experience.
Our NSW team were awarded the contract to bring the brief to life.
The Hurst Experience
With unparalleled expertise in the hospitality sector, the team quickly got to work transforming the vacant space into something undeniable.
Leaning into the industrial feel by championing exposed concrete, we installed bench seating nestled between the structures to help blend comfort and functionality as well as elements of privacy.
Expert attention to detail saw the bar area develop into a real focal point for the restaurant. With a unique design, the large footprint works to accentuate the length of the space while also blending seamlessly in with the surroundings.
Upon completion, Tokonoma is a great showpiece for our team. Highlighting our ability to blend form with function, as well as thinking outside the box to deliver something unique, this project reaffirms our position as a trusted and preferred project partner in the hospitality sector.
