In Dandenong South we will look to convert an existing Carl’s Jnr location into a new Wendy’s restaurant and drive-thru.
This location will be the first drive-thru Wendy’s in Australia.

The Project
Hurst worked in the Victorian suburb of Dandenong South to convert an existing Carl’s Jnr location into a brand new Wendy’s Australia restaurant.
Upon completion, Wendy’s new location in Dandenong South now serves as one of the first Wendy’s restaurants in Melbourne and one of the first Wendy’s drive thru locations in the country.
To really drive home the Wendy’s experience, particular attention was paid to the design and fit-out elements. Both of which worked together to create unparalleled aesthetic appeal.
From greenery murals and the signature Wendy’s red plaits decals to LED monitors installed on the ceilings, every detail is uniquely designed and thoughtfully implemented.
The Hurst Experience
Over the course of our two decades and counting in business we have worked on some of the country’s biggest and best hospitality projects.
On this project, our experience and expertise combined to ensure that we delivered this high profile project on budget and in accordance with the construction programme outlined during the tender stage.
Despite the typical Melbourne winter conditions being on full display, our team worked nights and over the weekend to ensure that Dandenong South was ready to trade in line with the heavily marketed grand opening date.
Once opening day rolled around, it was a pleasure to see the hundreds of people lined up to take advantage of Wendy’s unique offering.
